In the following video, Pastor James Knox preaches a message from the Word of God, (the Bible), in which he talks about how that, in The Gospel of Mark, Chapter 8, Verse 31, the Lord Jesus Christ prophesied of His sufferings, His rejection by the people, His death, and His Resurrection from the dead. The apostle Peter was looking for a kingdom, not a cross. Not understanding man's need for a suffering Saviour to take away sin, Peter rebuked Jesus for His words. Jesus, in turn, rebuked Peter for being ashamed of His words and issued a stern warning against such an opposing attitude by those who would follow the Lord.
